The raccoon dog was caught in
KURIO on August 20. It was caught by the corral where
captures monkeys with an apple. It is the raccoon dog of
the male which was born in this spring. The town office was not able to correspond regarding the raccoon dog which was captured. We have come to keep the raccoon dog temporarily. We made the corral on August 23 and brought on 24th. We think that administration should tackle seriously about such a problem. |

The raccoon dog is the mammal of the dog family. However, those bring up their children male and female alike enthusiastically unlike dogs. Those ripen in 1 year and give birth to 3 to 5 children in a year. Their life is 5 to 7 years. One set of pair gives birth to about 20 children in 5 years. And further, if their 10 heads are a female they increase to 200 heads in 5 years. They increase to 20,000 heads 20 years later when it is this calculation. This calculation is not random in YAKUSHIMA which their natural enemy is not. We need take measures to meet before they increase. |
