MATUMINE-OH-HASI is the highest bridge in YAKUSHIMA. There is it about 70 m from the surface of the water. It is in the place of about 2 km from the mouth of the river of the ANBOH-GAWA (river). The ANBOH-GAWA is steep and there are many waterfalls in upstream. However, it becomes a gradual quiet flow near the mouth of the river. There is surrounded in the woods of a rich evergreen. There is a very good place to do the canoe and also enjoy a landscape. If you do snorkeling, you can see fishes etc. of the various kind that live in the place where the sea and river are mixed. |
